National Cadet Corps

The College has three Senior Divisions of NCC.

Aims and Objectives:

1. To develop character, comradeship, discipline, and a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens.

2. To create a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose.

3. To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth.

4. To provide Leadership in all walks of life and be always available for the service of the Nation.

5. NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

Training of the registered cadets starts in August every academic session. Every cadet has to undergo 120 hours of rigorous training in one academic session. Cadets who successfully pass two years training are privileged with ‘B’ Certificate, and ‘C’ Certificate after three years of successfully attaining ‘B’ Certificate. Cadets with ‘C’ Certificate can go for SSB and other physical tests to join Army without written tests.

Annual Training Camps, Advance Leadership Camps, Army Attachment Training Camp, BLC and other camps are organized regularly.

Students securing more than 50% marks in the University exams are also honored with Sahara Scholarship from Rs 5000/- to 15,000/-
